Nice work! The only thing that's a bit of a minus are those beer bottles!Although i like beer just as much as the next guy,i can tell you from experience that it's not a good idea.It becomes a very time consuming ordeal when it comes time to feed and water.
Here is how i know....
A closer look....
The cage in the far right is the one i now use to keep my 2 kits in.It's a little bigger than what i need and i have been thinking of dividing it into a 4 kit box cage. Two on top and 2 underneath.
This is 1 of the cages i now breed my rollers out of.It's a 6 compartment cage with feeders and water compartments, all accessible from the outside.

Yes kid.I was heavy into the Sporting thieves until our Club went South...If you know what i mean.Sporting Pouters are beautiful pigeons with a lot of grace, but they are also extremely agressive. The 27 boxes on the left are for cock birds in training. The hens don't have to be kept in the dark but cock birds operate better under that system.
Young cock birds are separated into these dark coops and when ready a dark colored hen with a white feather on the tail is introduced. You switch hens around every now and then(dark checks, blue bars, blue checks)and eventually the cock birds begin to associate the white feathers on the tail for "female&sex"!Taht's how the training is started.I could tell you more but it would make this a very long thread.
Although this is not the site for it,here are some pics of my old Sporting Pouters.I won many sueltas and i'm very proud of what i did with these birds.
This is how you tell the birds apart in the air.All birds are painted with specific colors,You can only get this paint from Spain. This particular bird won some competitions for me.I even sent him to Florida and he tied for first place in a comp out there!

Hey Luis..What a GREAT set of pic.How long does it take you to care for all those birds?? I have nothing but TIME, so can I PICK your brain??..........LOL. Talk on brother. Those are some AWESOME birds. I didn't realize that they were hand painted at first. I wanted some if they came like that..LOL

Yes Paul they really are Awesome Birds! These birds sell for huge amounts of $$ in Spain.Changing their water and feeding would take about 1 and 1/2 daily.Cleaning days were a pain(i hate cleaning bird sh..)This would take about 7-8 hours because i was very thorough. Thanks ofr the compliments
Here's a few more pics
Hope you liked them!

Sal Sporting Pouters were bred from the Spanish Thieves with only 1 objective.."Agressive Jealousy".They don't have the self preservation instinct of the original Spanish Thieve wich would try to entice the hen to his loft.In other words, the Sporting Pouters will do whatever it takes if properly trained to stay by the hen.
A Sporting Pouter comp consists of one lead hen and many trained cock birds on her tail.As with anything good birds+good training=results.A well trained cock can be released anywhere and he will follow that hen to the death!
