Hi Bob, how have you been?
Yes, we have upwards of 80,000 without power. They have been working hard at getting everyone fixed, but as the ice melts, it causes a whipping action of the sagging tree limbs, which causes them to spring back up, knocking out power again.
My area has been very fortunate this go round. We haven't lost power "knock on wood", but most of the area around us has.
There are trees and branches all over that will take months to get cleaned up again.
I know we are suffering again, but this time it is affecting those states bordering us also.

Jerry i am glad you have come through this as well. We get the usual Canadian winters snow & more snow as i live in a snowbelt area. Jerry if my memory is right i think you mentioned going for a bird hunt to another state, up herethe main upland game are Ruffed Grouse & wood cock & they are in short supply. Pheasnts in the wild are zero at present, other than preserves. I have a Ryman-Hemlock bred english setter that i really like as she is good on waterfowl too. Do you keep any bird dogs ? Hi Bob,
At the present, I am bird dogless. I have 3 working line police K9's that occupy most of my dog time. The guy I hunt with has a nice shorthair, and a few of the other guys have setters and pointers.
We were going to Iowa last week, but I had a court case come up, so I had to skip..They ended up going to Kansas quail hunting.
I plan on getting another dog as soon as time allows..If ya ever plan on coming down to the states, give me a shout..
