At Willie Rangel's,in the 80's Set-up EXPLODE!-Set-up EXPLODE!-Set-up- EXPLODE!, ECT, ECT, ECT.His birds were impressive workers. They loved to work... Willie had to get out of birds due to (I believe) lung disease. Also at Hep Peraza's,at times his kits would look like if they ran into an invsible wall in the sky an have BIG BREAKS. Breaks with Quality.A sight to be seen. BELIEVE IT OR NOT. R-LUNA

Over the years the kit that stands out the most to me was Jay Starleys kit in 06. I judged his region for the WC and although they didnt want to participate the day of the fly he flew them for me 2 days later and they were awsome. Great depth and quality. Would have even been better had the wind not been pushing them around. Also seen some incredible deep and fast spinners at Brad Winwards but they fell apart at around the 10 minute point but to that time they were as sight to see. Greed, are you talking about Will Rangel from Norwalk? I haven't seen or heard from him for years. If we're talking about the same person, he had some old Lehmeyer stuff that would rock-and roll.

This is a fun thread.
The best kit I saw this year was at Bryan Lays home. I went there for the World Cup fly they did ok he was one of the quailifiers for Utah. But a week later I went over to his place with my daughter and they were incredible.
Last year at Rod Forbush's home also top notch very nice birds I do not think I have seen more frequency ever. The problem was to much frequency and the birds had a tough time staying together. He had a little blue bar that actually made me gasp when it rolled talk about FAST
I saw many great kits fly while growing up. In the early 70's Todd Jenson, Norm Drecksel, John Fife, Jay Starley. 80's Frank Meyer, Jay Starley,Paul Bradford had a good kit for a few years. 90's I saw a kit at Tom Monsons that was very nice I did not get to very many flies in the 90's raising the kids you know.
Wow so the best kit performance ever? I would have to say over at Bryans when I took my daughter over there awesome! ---------- David Curneal
