Welcome Mark W.
We had the same thing happen..An older gentleman was cutting a downed branch when another fell and struck him in the head, killing him.

Haven't lost any birds yet! Only have one baby in the nest right now,and it is a parlor about three days old! Hate to loose it, being out of my Dennis Hayes birds! Might bring it in the back room if it doesn't let up in a day or two. Momma is setting tight right now!

These pics aren't as good as I thought. My wife took them through the windshield and I thought there were some better ones but they weren't clear enough to post! I was one of the lucky ones that only lost power for a couple of days! Some won't get power back for days, maybe even weeks! On top of that, its in the low 20's with about 25 mph winds right now! Dangerous situation to say the least! I've been helping friends get generators hooked up for temp power! But many are to small to run electric heat!

Our city is making people bring their services up to code before they restore power and the part stores are sold out of these parts! Crazy!!!! Some will surely die if the temps don't come up!

Good luck and God bless to you guys in the path of these storms!

Good luck Jerry, hope your keeping them safe! Looks like another 3-dog night!

Nice pics Rudy! Wheres is the snowman?

I hope everyone is getting better weather tomorrow.

Hey Luis,

Are you going to be flying with us next year? I know the bop's are bad but you have to keep flying and competing to get better at it... Since your only a few miles from me, I have been flying around twice a week and at different times. I haven't lost many this month. Let me know, sure would like to see your birds in action...

Indiana, we are just getting the snow today. I just got in a little bit ago from plowing the driveway. First time this year. I gotta admit I really enjoy getting on the old tractor and plowing some snow, but I am glad we didnt get all that ice like you Oklahoma guys... Man, that looks terrible. Hope all is ok for you and your families.

Efren as far as me flying,i certainly hope to.If i don't run into all the problems i had this past year!1st i need to be able to fly out my young birds without to many losses.2nd hopefully the Red Tails let me train in peace because last year they ruined my birds. They would constantly chase them until....Every time i flew them they dotted out!Pretty frustrating situation. If i don't run into these problems then i could put something together for comp.Unfortunately my BOP problem is all year long!I don't just want to to put "whatever" up in the air for the sake of competing.Wish me luck!

Sure thing buddy. Hopefully all works out for you and your Red Tail issue. I lost 2 this year to the Red Tail. The Coopers are my issues, lost count on how many I lost to them, but trying to do my best to work around them. It's tough out here and for those who don't have this problem, it must be nice!

This morning started out at 16 degrees, but made it to 49 this afternoon! Really recharged the spirits and got everybody motivated again! Supposed to be in the 60s by mid week! Thanks for the thoughts and prayers!

I even got to fly my two youngest kits this evening! Woo hoo!
