Was he talking about birds in the air or in the stock pen ?
I know I will breed more hens that spin then cock birds.
Thats been my experience.
And the hens tend to be deeper.

Good question Smoke,
I need to think about this one.
Its been a long time since I bred in the loft,
with just one year back in the hobby I will give this some thought.
I know this, there is not one cock bird in my loft this year that I do not like.
Everyone shows potential.
The question is, will they produce..............

With my family, I get both equally good. I have some good cocks that I treasure because good cocks are really hard to find. With my family, hens tend to take the birds high and skyout.

Jay,
I see the opposite in my family. During the past few months, when they have gotten higher than normal (500 to 700 feet) I grab the binocs and it is usually a cock that is at the front, and top.
