Well Fellas,
Dust off your boots and get ready for a good time because the NBRC Convention is coming to the Lone Star State in 2008. We received confirmation today that the EC has officially approved the TPRA and it's Texas flyers to host the convention next year.
Speaking for those on the committee who have worked to make this happen, we are very excited to even be considered, much less being granted the opportunity to host the convention. I would like to personally thank all those on the EC who approved Texas being the hosting location. I have personally attended the last 2 conventions and we truly have some big shoes to fill. I can't even imagine meeting the expectations established by Cliff, Jay and the NC guys this year but we will do the best we can to show everyone some good birds... and some some southern fried hospitality.
Mark you calendars now for the dates of October 16th - 18th. We will get more information out on the specifics as soon as possible and we are really looking forward to this great event and the wonderful fellowship that it will bring to our state.

Most likely my wife and I will attend. Once you get everything in place such as lodging, and schedule, I will make a reservation for the arirline and hotel. Just let us know.

Great Fellas, it will be in Dallas/Fort Worth and DFW International will be the best airport to fly into. We are going to have the event at the Marriott in Irving TX. and I will get the hotel information out ASAP

I understand what you mean. We had to consider a lot of things to get to the dates we picked: Although we knew we were not going to make everyone happy, it was the best dates all things considered. This last convention was during the FF dates and it worked out. The finals did not start until 10-23-07 so we can work around it.
At first we were going to try to have in in the spring which would have been nice and the best time for flying but we also had the WC to work around... and it was going to be too hard to turn around and have another convention so close to the last one. We also have 100+ Texas summer heat to deal with and anyone who attended at Portland understands that we do not need that. So... we needed to get into the fall but before the FF finals. There you have it.

I'm serious, I've been a Cowboy fan since I was a kid during the Staubach era. I definitely would want to take in a game if they are playing the Sunday of the convention. Maybe we can get a bunch of roller Cowboy fans to go, man what a party that would be!
We've got a Super Bowl team this year. They're as exciting as the great Cowboy teams of the past. Romo is the real deal. Go Cowboys!
