What Luis is saying is if rollers had the ability to reason and take direction we could take marginal rollers,work on thier technique and make them solid. You could coach a good one to championship quality.

You can have the best bred birds in the world, but, if you do not put the hours into the birds that it takes to put a good team of rollers together, you will probably get beat by a guy that busted his ass in his backyard all year with birds that are not as well bred.
I hope this fits into the conversation that has been posted here.........

hay luis if i under stand you your saying that the roller is born with the roll well that is true so have to breed your best roller to your best to get your best roller...........donny james

I think that what you are asking is if the manager makes the birds or if the birds make the manager. Well I believe that even the best birds wll only be mediocre if they dont get the proper management. I also think that mediocre birds can look great with the proper management. It takes both to be on the top in this sport ( Hobby ).
