Welp thanks to the stupid dog that got into my uncle's yard and ate majority of my favorite and farthest rolling Parlors, I am not certain if next year I will be breeding and competing with rollers or Parlors. The Dog even ate my brother's emberton pair, the number 1 pair that he had hopes in, if we have to restart we'll be starting from scratch again which will take at least 2 years to be able to stabilize the breeding again, which totally sucks big time, I might get out of breeding parlorrollers and breeding pigeons at all, if I do decide to quit, I just wanted to let you know, have a merry Xmas and a happy new year.P.S. If I do leave the hobby for a while, I enjoyed the experience...

Once bitten, you should never say never, just take a short break.
Will the dogs owner pay for the birds? Sorry for your loss,

Doua,
The owner of that dog is responsible for damages it did to your property. There are laws that cover that kind of problem, like leash laws and such.
You should make the owner pay for the birds, even if you have to take him to court.

seemed like it is a stray that someone threw away because it was getting to old, I still see it around and chase it away sometimes, but it's coming back am thinking of calling animal unit to pick it up, am sure is one of the neighbor's maybe.. but dude I lost a lot of good birds... maybe 80-90 percent of the birds I was hoping to see produce a bunch of young for me...

Well I'm not thinking about quiting anymore. I'm staying around. I know my weaknesses now and next year hopefully It'll all work out. The things I did wrong was, my cages were not in a loft, the cage doors opened in towards the inside of the cage, I didn't have locks, I didn't put my best pairs on the top because the ones on the higher level were not even touched. So I will build a new loft next year, I have a will have a few loaned from Chang Vang, so I'm sticking around. But damn, I'm not sure about my brother because he lost the Emberton Pair, a redcheck hen from Dave vang's number 1 pair and a loan from my cusion. That was the number 1 pair....

Sorry to hear about your losses, Doua. I lost a whole kit last year to dogs! They were mostly my Joe Urbans and Turners! They were all within 10 days of age! Set me way behind but I never quit! I know you won't either! You love it to much! Learn from your mistakes and come back stronger in the long run!

I'm with Rudy, eye for an eye! My yard got a dog-ectomy after my losses!
