Pat, the reason I asked I have had young and real old hens start the breeding season like that and around the third round they will start laying 2 eggs, if she is not sickley I would give her sometime to get her motor running some are just different! Pat you are providing everything you can for your birds! Good Luck.

Pat,
As Sal stated, if this is the beginning of your breeding season, I would give her some time, as she will probably start laying both eggs soon.. Is this her first year in the breeding loft?

Some time you will get a cock bird that will not drive the hen to lay the 2nd egg. Most cock will drive the hen crazy to lay the 2nd egg,

Pat if you have another pair with eggs close to the same time. put The egg in with a proven good pair, they will raise three fine. Then in about 10 days she will most likly will Lay two eggs.
