Guys, theres a couple of kit birds in my B-team that have a high metabolism and are always hungry. They are decent kit birds and perform good and are an intregal part of the kit.Even though they are put on the side for extra feed, they are always hungry and lean.I was thinking to worm them, but I do it twice a year to the whole kit.Does anyone have experience with this type of behavior? What are your opinions? Will they grow out of this?I actually like these little buggahs! Is there something missing in their diet, they get all the grains and supplements. They are a year old....Aloha,Todd

Todd, try feeding them all there grains separate, starting with the biggest grain's first such as peas, safflower, wheat and so on, wait a couple of minutes between seed's before you drop the next seed down to make sure they are eating them all, this will ensure they are eating every seed given. The reason for this is because they might be Milo eater's and there disregarding the other seed's.Also watch to see if there slow eater's and are not getting to the feed fast enough.Hope this help's.

RO, You're right they are milo lovers, but they are definetly the fastest eaters of the kit.I do feed seperate grains, wheat, milo ,peas, some safflower & pinch of flax. When they do get a mix ,they are milo munchers.Maybe there is a supplement I can give them that will help them pack it on,any ideas?...Aloha,Todd

Todd, pen them up by them selfs and just feed them peas for a week or so.Maybe when returned to the kit box they will eat more peas. You have nothing to lose, and two good birds to gain! Ps, Worm them two again at that time.----------
