Hey Nick that was great of you to share that with us all.

Its obvious sometimes we share parts of our selves and experiences with family . Sometimes I share things with my pigeon buds that i would only share with family. I think it is because we in the hobby share a very special bond with the birds and each other

Most of us that keep pigeons do so as an outlet and escape from the day today crap and BS .It is rare to find in life the type of love you received from your friend. There are many people in the world that have experienced extreme hardship and poverty these tend to be some of the most understanding and kindest people around (they know the pain)Ithink many of the war vets ,people who have survived the depression and and also many wars know the value of life.

Many people born in the "land of plenty" tend to not understand the value of doing something for someone else because it feels good to help some one.

Unfortanately in our society today most people will only do some thing for someone else and expect something of value back in return. WE all share something sprcial here guys our birds bring us togeather and make us strong.

Afterall its the dove that represents peace most pigeion people are great people. Afterall look at the great Mike Tyson it makes me cry when I watch the vedios of mike with his pigeons. I dont know him but i do know the peace he gets from his hobby after all look at how the poor guy was destroyed and taken advantage of by so many people at the end he still finds his haven and joy with his birds just like we all do.Take care all have a happy new year

Amen NICK.........Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It kinda brings back memories of that time in my life too. Its funny though, I have been incarcerated for the past 25 days. I just got out Monday Jan 1st. I too had thoughts of the past..and whats in store me me next..I also lost my job after 30yrs. It really makes one think of HOW special certain times like that are and how much our aquaintances mean to us. Nick, I must say that their are alot of guys in here that have the same thoughts everynow and then. Its always good to hear our brothers telling us some of their deepest thoughts. God bless you Nick, and everyone in this forum. Iam just glad to be apart of this forum. And that I have SO many new found friends.I hope everyone has a very HAPPY and Prosperious New Year....
