Many more flyers here then when I got out in 2000.
Not sure about the rest of the country, but it seems like that here......

MR. RUIZ, THIS SPORT OF OURS IS GROWING. LOOK AT WHAT YOU ARE DOING. THAT ITSELF IS LETTING YOU SEE THE GROWTH. YOU ARE PUTTING TOGETHER A FLY THAT WILL PUT LV ON THE MAP.
YOU HAVE MARLON DOING GOOD OUT THERE, AND I KNOW YOU GET A GROUP OF GUYS TO FLY IN THE WC AND FF. AS LONG AS WE HAVE PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO ARE WILLING STEP AND MAKE THINGS HAPPEN IT WILL CONTINUE TO GROW. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

I feel it's growing. My brother and I just got back into the hobby late last year and we are hardcore roller men. We talk about our bird and with others daily. I'm sure Keith's wife would agree as there is not a day that we are not on the phone with him, trying to learn as much as we can...

This year I've meet a few people join a club to start competing.

Thanks Mrs. London for the info and for being understanding. Wish you all a Happy New Years and many more to come. From the Lopez family.

Did Keith tell you about the house in Hesperia for rent at $1400/mo.? 3bd/2bth on 1 acre. I could see if they would consider a rent to own option? The commute might kill you though. One of my employees lives in Victorville and it takes him about 3hrs each way.

GEORGIE BOY WHAT UP!!! Hope all is cool with you and your nephew. Have'nt seen him post here for a minute. This sport is growing, you have the veteran guys coming back wanting to fly again. The only thing we will all have to see ,is about the preds on how long they will let us fly and how much and long we all can tolerate them.

Lets see,
I can count several names besides myself that have been in 5 years or less and are what I would say are Hard Core Flyers.
Cliff Ball,Paul Fullerton,Nick Siders,Isidro Licea,Dave Vang,he might be over 5. Ray F is back after a lengthy absence,Chor 5 or less? and Efren Lopez. Anyones else?

I can see why you would pose the question George. Here in the LA area we have a lot of roller people.Alot of them fly comp, you can see it in the stats each year. The funny thing is the folks flying comp aren't even half of all the roller breeders (backyard flyers) in the area.In Las Vegas it's probably a lot less so being that you're from LA you are seeing a big difference! It's to hot over there anyway..come back George.LOL.

HAPPY NEW YEARS FELLAS
HARD CORE OR CRAZY. FOR THE LAST EIGHT YEARS I'VE BEEN BACK IN TO RASING BIRDS ... AS A YOUNG KIDD MY DAD & I ONE WEEKEND AND WENT TO A FRIENDS 28-YEARS AGO HOME IN BELLFLOWER CA.CHILD HOOD FRIENDS ON MY BLOCK HAD BIRDS.SO THE THRILL OF WATCHING KITS FLYING AND BIRDS THAT WAS GREAT ATHLETES /rollers. AFTER YEARS OF BEING OUT OF THE HOBBY. MY WIFE & I MOVED IN TO OUR FIRST PLACE THAT WE ARE BUYING AT THIS MOMMENT. Its not doing to well in the east.I think it has a lot to do with city and town zoneing and the cost of feed. And not enought young kids getting into the hobby. I gave a 12 year old boy 12 birds last july . Last week he stop by the house to see how my birds were. Hows your birds doing i asked. He said there all gone hawk got them one by one. I said to him want some more. He said no why bother hawks will get them too. I know of no one that flys in the rhode island now.No more roller clubs.most of the roller guys here are in the gound or close to it.And this state was a hot bed of roller men in the 50s tru 70s
