Hi Glenn

Things are ok here in San Diego. We survived another Firestorm here the second in 4 years. Devastating to say the least!I would really love to be able to say that I was going to be able to get back into the sport. But doesn't look like it is going to happen for me. I left in 2002 for several reasons. Health was #1 the lungs are bad. 30years of painting cars 30 years of pigeons and the terrible 30 years smoking did it for me. Looking into the website keeps me close to the sport and and all of friends like yourself that I made over the years. Email is jerrylynn@myway.com write any time!!Take care Jerry

Jerry Lynn,

We have never met you but I have heard my buddy Jack Meyers speak very highly of you and your birds. Jack basically said some of the best teams he ever watched in his whole life (and that says a lot for sure)were yours. From what Jack tells me, we sure would like to get you flying with us all again! You may be out... but you are not forgotten!!!

Happy New Year!

Hi Joe

Thanks for the kind words!! Jack is a great friend and roller guy! I have had a tremendous passion for pigeons and especially the rollers my entire life and I miss them a great deal. Thanks again for the kind words. Happy New Year to you and your family.

Glenn,
Love the looks of your stock! One question tho, if I recall right, you barely fly out your birds due to BOP. If so, how would one go on stocking the breeders if it was never truly flown out? Don't get me wrong as I am not knocking your program, just curious how one would go at it and do it right. I know before, I got slaughtered every year. That kept me from stocking any thing. Never did end up stocking any thing until I called it quits and relocated.
Love the photos,
Thor

P.S. I think it was Eldon who sends birds out to be flown by friends and would then stock full bro or sis to these individuals - the ones that shines.

Hello Thor:

In answer to your question, I fly when I should not fly, I sneak them up when I think I can get away with. The result of this is I breed out of 15 to 20 pair a year instead of 6 to 10 which I would realy want do again one day. I lose most of what I breed, I give away birds to people who can use them and I will stock an un proven bird if I need to. And fly the young, in the last twenty years I have lost a lot of birds, so I will keep on flying when I should not and hopefully it will get back to the old days when you could fly your stock (See:Paul Gomez)birds after the breeding season. I know it's wishfull thinking but maybe one day. I hope that answer's your question........Glenn

The Dunn Bar hen was flown (6)months, when she came in she was a fast 10 to 15'. I locked her down after she came back from a falcon attack. Her sister was given away to a guy who needed her and I gave away the rest to other people to fly.

The blue check self hen was bred for stock, never flown. I flew all the brothers & sisters, lost all of them to Falcon and one to a very nasty RedTail.

The Dark Ck. Self cock is out of the above Blue Ckeck Self hen was about 20' very fast and getting deeper. We will see how he does in the stock loft.

The Black Bronze Badge Hen has been in my kit for 4 years, she has always come back, been hit several times, but always came back. I am going to breed out of her this year and I might put her back up.

The Silver White flight hen is 12 years old, I did not breed her, she is out of a hen I bred and a Cock that Elliott Norwood bred. The guy who bred her got out birds, (Falcon perched on High Tension lines behind his house) I saw her fly many years ago and have seen a lot of her young fly.
