Hey Guys, Happy New Year to you all.Just came home from 3 week vacation in Colombia,South America, spending Christmas with my wifes family. That would be an interesting place to fly Rollers for sure as there are no hawks(lots of Chulos(vultures)or falcons as far as I could tell.Living on a mountain side at 4,000 feet altitude and a pretty steep grade, the donut hole would not be hard to see when a bird spins.Unfortunately the only pigeons I saw there were the some several thousand ferals living around the town of El Socorro,Santander. Not at all hard to get clients when one throws some corn out on the street.Went rubber rafting on 3 rivers with some class 4 rapids(7ft waves and holes) and incredible canyons, and tried para sailing off a mountain top which is quite a sensation especially when you see a bird soaring below you 400ft above the treetops. Got to fly my birds today after no fly for more than 2 months, too windy and they were all over the place but all came in safe with no preds.Sure sweet to see 'em fly again.Anyhow, all is good here on the Wet Coast with no ice or snow at sea level, just the wind rain and dark but like mcroller jimmi says "it'll be spring soon enough and make putting up with winter worth it!"Chiaou for now,---------- Kel. Val and Tony, delete this part if you like but I didn't think it would hurt being up in Canada. A freind in Scarborough,Ontario needs to get rid of his birds due to health problems and he has good Doneks and Tipplers if anyone up here in the great white north is interested contact me by sending a message to my e-mail which is on my user profile.

Good to have you back Kelly! Sounds like you had a great time! You sure make it hard on a guy that has never been more than 300 miles from home! I've never seen a mountain or an ocean! You lucky devil! ---------- Val

Thanks ya'all.Ya it's quite the breathtaking part of the world which few foreigners have seen because of the 40 years of war there in many parts and the kidnappings and violence of the past. Some places still are not good to hang out for blond hairs blue eyes but most of Santander state is pretty safe. Richard, There was one little tree in our backyard I chewed on but turned out to be mandarin orange. They tell me that other stuff can be good toothache remedy. You know one bummer about Colombia tho.The rum is only 35% and a guy ends up drinking to much coca cola. ---------- Kel.
