This looks like it just might energize some BRAIN waves.....LOL. I,for one think that it should start right in this forum. Might I suggest that we ALL take a good look at ourselves. Take alittle more time to think about what we post and how we post. DON'T be so critical of others, be more HELPFULL. Watch not to make false accusations. Keep in mind that we are all at different levels of the hobby/sport. Sometimes our egos get in the way....and sometimes we forget just how far we have come. We are all in here to ENJOY our birds first and foremost, the knowledge shared, the friendships we develope along the way and the competitiveness as sportsmen. I hope this post is not taken to look like I am grandstanding. I certainly know that I have made some mistakes here myself and hope to be a PLUS to this forum from now on. If this is moderated I understand.

To help others in the hobby in the right path. Just because you have good birds or are in the top don't mean that you should not look down and help other starting from the bottom.

One time I was asking for some advise and I got a response like this.

If you train your birds like me or do the same thing I do to your birds, you will not make them like mine.
straight out cold.

I'm sure that no one here knows everything there is about are birds and are learning every day as we go by. Some do know more and there is always some one that knows more.

SKYLINE,
SOUNDS GREAT TO ME. DO YOU KNOW HOW WE CAN GET THIS STARTED? THIS WOULD BE PERFECT. SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY FLYERS/CLUBS IN OUR REGION 9A. CONTACT ALL THE CLUB PRES. AND THE INDIVIDUAL FLYERS AND IT COULD REALY WORK.
I'M IN ALL THE WAY.

Hey Tony/Joni,
How about we make this chat/forum just for us Missouri fliers?....

That way we can communicate with each other, and know what is happening in our area?...

Keith and Ray:Starting a yahoo group is simple.Like Ray stated all you need is a yahoo acc and your set!You can set up the page as you like and best of all IT'S FREE !!

I know becuase i had a web page set up with MSN and it's the same with yahoo.

In regards to making our hobby better,i think putting egos aside and supporting each other in a constructive manner(regardless of why you raise rollers) would be great.Attend and participate in all events that you could to support each others Clubs! If we stick together we can accomplish more for the sport!!!

I think everyone should send me on of their best stock birds ;-)or... just simple consideration for the list. Most are sincere when they post and consider their point of view worthy of our respect. I'm not saying we have to agree on everything, that would be boring as all get out. I am saying disagree with respect and dignity. Humilitation does not help and is unnecessary, respect builds trust and might persuade everyone to your point of view. Sorry if I sound pompous, it's just the way I feel.

One of the things I think we need to do is unite together as a team of roller flyers and stand united. We are much better and stronger as "1 team". I know i am bias, but I would really like to see everyone attend the convention this year here in Texas. I have personally attended the last 2 conventions and I had a blast at both of them. Its a time to meet new friends and tie together names and faces with a real hand shake. I'm telling you guys who have not yet make it to a convention, it is an experience that you do not want to miss. Although we have some big shoes to fill from the last 2 hosting locations, we are going to try our best to show everyone some good ole Southern Fried Hospitality, and hopefully some spinners too. Last year I personally met face to face some of the best people this sport has to offer and I will never for get it. Please plan now to join us Ooctober 16th - 18th in DFW (North Texas) for the NBRC 2008 Texas Convention. Texas has 3, 11 bird FF Nation Champions and 1, 20 bird Nation Champion, and 3, Master Flyers and at least 1, Hall Of Famer that I can think of without looking.

Keith,

we can make it better by less talk and more action. what I mean by that is this: lots of guys have good ideas, few want to put the work, time, reputation out there to actually do anything.
