P.G.600 is a product used to induce heat in pigs; I was speaking with someone who suggested it to me as a means to get an older roller to fertilize eggs again.
Anyone ever hear about it or use with any success? If so, any idea of amount to administer? ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria

Tony,
I called Jack and left him a message, I will post something as soon as I hear back from him.
Hey Ken Billings,
Do you know about this stuff? Jack Meyers was telling me a story about one of his old cock birds from some of his old stuff (Old Mottle Cock i think) that wouldn't hit and hadn't for years. But he hit it with this P.G. 600 and it came down from his perch (where he spent all his time other than eating)...fought and took it's old mate back away from a young cock in the open loft. When he did this Jack put them in a single mate pen and he hit a few more rounds. I believe the cock was in his upper teens if I remember the story correctly? I was impressed! ---------- Joe Dan Parson Full Turn Lofts North Texas

Hey Joe, I love that story of the old cock coming back and taking back his old mate. Make an old guy feel like he still has a chance! LOL ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria

Thats funny there Wayne lol... I may need a little too... I spend a little too much time sitting on the perch VS driving hens... On a serious note: I have a buddy who is a dog breeder and he sain that the PG 600 is used on bitch dogs to bring them into heat so they can be bred. ---------- Joe Dan Parson Full Turn Lofts North Texas

not sure on pigeons never thought of it ... but we raise a lot of hogs and it really works great use it to bring into heat on the female side but doesnt do any thing on the boar side that i know of it will tell the sow to simulate being in heat old sows still come in but if no eggs to release the boar is just gettin to have fun it is made for prepubecense gilts before they cycle the first time and old sows if you want to syncronise a group of gilts you shoot em 4 to 7 days later all will be in simulated heat any with fertile dropped eggs should breed others wont but will be on a 21 day cycle .on the boar side if the boar is old and not really up to gettin the job done you use lutalyse to make em get fired up to collect the semen ...this works also ....on the other end it has a warning on the label women and pregtnant woman should excercis caution as it may react and cause to abort...
