Trying to fly my birds as the preds have gone south for now but Cali keeps sending these storms up the coast.Lotsa wind here and rain.

kopetsa,I'm on Gabriola Island close to Nanaimo,B.C.and have Monty Neible type birds.Do you belong to a Roller Club there and do you guys fly the W/C competition?

Nope, there are no roller clubs around here that I am aware of. I just raise them for show. I am not able to fly them because of the large number of hawks. :-)

Rudy,
No fishing,prawning is closed january-february and no lingcod or rockfishing till june,been blowing like stink up here too.Did manage to fly 2 kits today tho locking em up all nov dec sure didn't help their development.Hope they improve before the spring migration of the hawks begins.Last year april was good flying but early may i got hammered.

Hunh..A buddy in Airdrie flies homers tells me he rarely has BOP problems.Where abouts are you in Alberta?I've heard there is a Roller Club in Calgary.

wre in alberta 40 min south of edmonton put you where,I much like kelly at rum 30 lofts fly the hell out our birds ,hawks bedamd we loose lots so breed lots I fly nieble birds also......jimmi

Most of us guys here in the BC Roller Club have Monty birds.I think most have kept em pretty straight too.'cept I did hear somewhere the guy who got most of Monty's birds after he passed on screwed 'em up.Don't take my word as gospel on that last statement.I could be proven wrong.

Didn't Brian Krog get Monty's birds when he passed? Do any of you Canadian guys know Brian? What happened to Monty's birds After Brian had them?

Yeah,that's right it was Brian Krog who received Monty's birds.Don't know him personally but have heard he didn't manage them well for some reason.I'd better keep my mouth shut for any further on this one as that is all I have heard.But like I said earlier,us guys in BCRC all have Monty birds and I think most are doing our best with them considering the BOP situation.Ol' Monty used to deal with them however he could but it is difficult when they are coming at you from every direction.

Thanks everyone for the information , I have a recent friend from quebec city who asked me to inquire on his behalf will put him in contact with the memebers of the bc club. The person from sask. ihave about 15 pairs of birds lost most of my young to a cooper in the area this summer
