Just about 19 days old this bird was fine two days ago, now seems like it cant walk..... legs are really soft like they are broken, any ideas.....

Is it possible the bird fell and hurt its legs? Is it still eating and drinking? How do the droppings look? Are the wing joints swollen?

Thanks Tony For getting back to me on this. I thought that the bird was fine just the other day, but yesterday i pick him up and noticed that his legs were lathargic but everthing elese seems fine,@ work now so cant check droppings,other baby is just fine.

Separate the babys and the parents asap untill u find out whats wrong ... And like Tony said check the dropings. Hope its nothing serious >>>

Hey,
I have a chick that was born on December 10th who is just starting to walk now. I was really worried a couple of days ago because I thought he wouldn't be able to walk ever. But as of three or four days he is just fine. Now he is already jumping on my arm from the nest! Might as well let you know that story though. Maybe yours just needs a little time.
