I have a small kit of Rollers, to play with til my Ruby's give me some young to fly. All less than 10 months old rolling 10 to 15 ft
One bird will roll about 10 ft come out and go immediately back into the roll for another 10 ft.
After this second roll she kits back, but it takes a while because they have flown on and she has lost so much altitude rolling twice. She will always kit back before starting the double roll again.
This bird is also always the first one down and last one to trap. All stay up from 20 to 25 minutes.
Remember I'm a new guy, what do you think?????

Snake Doctor This bird of yours i breed a couple each year myself that do have the same symptoms. First of all feel the bird in the hand if the bird feels OK then rest this bird for around 1 to 2 weeks if still doing the same problem when reflying then What you have there is a pigeon that is mentally unstable IE it cant control the roll the roll is controlling the pigeon. I seem to have to cull these birds because they end up taking good kitting pigeons out of the kit getting other birds into bad habits. ---------- Regards W@yne UK

don't waste your time tryna figure out those kinds of birds! you should dig a hole in your back yard somewhere and dispose of every bird with that character and enjoy the ones who do and act how you like..remember, it doesn't matter how good your breeders are, they all produce culls!!!!!! trash 'em and keep it moving...you'll be glad in the long run...that's just my opinion ---------- rOLLerManx0

Snake Doctor, You do not have many birds to play with. If this bird is affecting other birds in the kit, then you have a problem. Is it bringing other birds down early? Is it causing kitting issues with the other birds? If the bird feels OK in the hand fly it as long as it is not causing problems with the rest of your kit. It will be a while before you have birds to replace it with.
Enjoy the birds you have. Keith Maxwell

Thanks for all the info, these are some birds that I haven't any info on their back ground, just playing til the Rubys young are ready.
None of the other birds seem to pay any attention to this one, they keep together and roll and return to kit. So far the most that have rolled at any one time is 4 of the 8. But every bird does roll.
Hey Thom you forgot some important ingredients, Garlic and Tobasco, lots of it.
If it don't make your eyes water, your nose run and your ears ring it ain't hot enough. Makes my bald head sweat if it's right. It should burn today and tomorrow!!!!!! ---------- "Semper Fi" SD
