Hey I saw your birds in their breeding cages in another message! How long do you or other people usually leave the birds in there?

Thanks,

Andrew

I leave the pairs in till they have bred me around 4-6 offspring then change pairs. If I see the offspring better than other offspring from others I put again the same pair and breed as many as I can.

This year I'm concentrated on breeding as many as I can so I know next year which ones are my best pairs.

Keep the best cull the rest.

I leave my breeders locked in the individual cages until they have laid the first round of eggs. After that I free loft 'em.
