I thought the spangles had white flights and the mottles where more solid. The flights being the color of the bird.Like this one

This color stuff is confusing!I would have called those Red Mottles!
So white flights mean Spangles.....O.K !!

My under standing was that Spangles were of white bodied and Mottles were of solid bodies. Both will be whited checkered on the wing shields.

From the ole pro regarding the spangle and mottle. Mt. Airy Loft you are correct. Congradulations! It can be cofusing but you explaned it very well. What about a splash? The first pigeon i owned was white and red and it was called a splash. That was back in nineteen forty one when the second world war comenced. A few others were correct also.
