problem?
You have to have eyesight thats out of this world if you can see eye color when their flying..If they make you happy when flying, then the eye color should not be a factor.

It may mean something in some family's of birds and nothing in others.

It also depends on the breeder , some breeders use eye sign to evaluate a bird and others dont see any thing in a eye but a eye.

If you ever get a chance to speak to Joe Emberton ask him and he will give you a quik lessson in eyes.

Like DEADENDKID said its the whole package thats counts not just one trait.

If a person is flying a hodge podge of birds then eye dont mean a thing since its all a crapshoot anyway

If you are into showing birds you would want birds with colored eyes, but performance wise an eye is an eye! 90% of my birds have and produce bull or odd eye young. And 100% of them ROLL their as#@ off! Me personally I love a nice bulleyed bird thats rips the sky up.

It goes back to reading eye sign. A bull eye ,you just can't read it,(pearl or corn) or other signs. Some hobbist are just biased towards them or dont even know why they dont like them,if eye sign had no purpose either it would'nt matter to having them.I have bred spectacular rollers in bull-eyes,would I keep a bull eye or stock it after being proven in the air,,yes I would and do .Nothing is wrong with bull eyes.

I personally like Bull eye birds. Like Jerry said, can't see the color of the eye when it's performing.

If you had a bird and it had one bull eye and the other a pearl or orange would you show this bird in a show if you thought it had the proper look?

I have had good ones in the past. The eye does not make the bird. But it can show you certain things at times and thats why I think some people do not care for bull eyed birds.

Eye color is simply that...the expression of the gene carying the trait. Some folks believe in eye sign and in bull eyed birds it can't be seen so they stay away from them.Whatever has moved your family forward stick to it but remember that it doesn't necesarily mean the same thing to everyone else.

Is "Bull Eyed" where one eye is different then the other? What do you call it when ONE eye is two different colors?

"Is "Bull Eyed" where one eye is different then the other? What do you call it when ONE eye is two different colors?"

1.) Bull eyed is where both eyes are pretty much solid black..

2.) A bird with two different eyes is called odd eyed bird; that's what we call it..
