Hi. has any here has had there cock jump to other hen's in there loft..will i open loft breed but my bird's do have there own nesting box's and nest blow but seems one of my younger cock bird witch already have a pair keeps jumping to this older hen nest box she to have a mate her mate do fight and try kick him out but some how he always lose to the young cock bird..what should i do.

lock the younger cock & mate in the nest box until she lays...than let them out..

If they are a tight family open loft may work.

If you have any doubts seperate and lock them up in
seperate pens. Open loft can have problems
of who is on who.
And hens hooking up, and laying 4 eggs per nest.

Hobble the younger cock for a few days and he can't fight back without tripping and getting whipped! Teaches him to stay on his own turf! 3 or 4 days ought to do it! Make sure the knots are tied where they don't tighten up and cut the circulation off though!

Hobble = tie a string around his feet with just enough slack that he can just stand straight!

It works! Takes the starch right out of them!
