Kopetsa shipping pigeons from another country is very expensive. You need a bill of health on the birds from a vet to get the birds out.You need a person who specializes in handling the affairs of importing birds(forgot the name)to handle the transaction. Also you have to pay for quarantine when the birds arive in your country of residence. At least this is what i have seen with friends who have imported birds from Spain........very expensive! Finally if 1 bird in the lot fails to pass the quarantine, they all get killed !!! and you don't get a refund.......LOL !!!!!!!!!

Gave the seller pays a vet to check his birds and give them the clean bill of health for export, they usually pay for this. You(the inporter) have to flip the rest of the bill !!Not cheap at all.

Hey kope, I would look into any laws about bringing in live animals into your country. It might be called "smuggling"? I am no attorney, but sounds illegal. Check with the proper governing agency within your country and determine the lawful way to proceed.
Anyone offering advice as to how to bring them across the US/Canadian border without official authorization, should be aware you may be coaching him to break the law.

Just last week 2 guys were busted bringing pigeons into Canada from the US under their jackets.Birds were confiscated and each guy got a $1,0000.00 fine. Not a good idea. I know a fellow out east who imported a bunch of pigeons from the US last year.A USDA certified veterinarian must inspect the birds and find them healthy. They have to be vaccinated and be under quarantine for 30 days before they can be taken across the border. Not really worth it. Kopseksa, why don't you look for someone near you that has rollers? That freind of mine in Airdrie has some Barrett birds.Google calgaryceremonialwhitedoves and you'll find how to contact him.Warren Smith is his name. ---------- Kel.
