I know this is kind of a off the wall question, but I was wondering what you use for a feed can and how old it is ? I have had mine since 1993 and would be lost without it...lol It was one of the only things I kept when I got out of birds in 2000. It sure was fun to dust it off and pull it off a shelf that it had been sitting on for so many years...lol. This can holds 2 cups of food.

Post a photo and tell us about your feed can.....lol

Hey Ray,
`Bout how many tons of feed have you scooped with that little old can? I have used my red plastic folgers can for three years now. Got a long way to go to catch you.

They are really some uselful little cans. I make feeders and waterers for the indie pens out of them. Use em for grit feeders too. You can run a screw right thru the side with a minimum of effort.

on the other hand.. I did keep something from back then ...
it was my original pad lock.
I remember saving money just to buy it, my grand father drove me over to All American Home Center in Downey,Ca.
and I remember paying $ 26.00 for it that was a lot of money for a 9 year old kid.

here is my 33 year old lock.. its stil on the loft.

I always enjoy seeing the old stuff.
COOL LOCK!!!!!!!!!
Ken,
I have no idea of how much that little can has seen.......lol
I bet if I did the math, I could come up with a average.
Post a photo of your homemade feeders.
They sound nice and simple.
