How do some of you feed your young birds during their development, and does that feeding method ever change as the birds mature and come into the roll? I know each family of birds is slightly unique and will react differently to certain feeding programs, but in your opinion, is there or can there be a "standard", method of feeding kit birds. Or should it vary from family to family?

Welcome to the site, there is a lot of info posted here. I always give young birds all they can eat until they really get strong on the wings, flying more than 2 hours. Then I start cutting back and keep an eye on their weight/health and try to find that amount that limits their flying time and still is enough to keep them strong and healthy.
I get to try it again soon after being away for years as I have some youngsters in the nest and will be weaning them by months end.
Good luck,
Richard

Thank you Richard. When you say that you start to cut back, do you just give them less of the same mix or do you change the type of grains?

I have done it both ways; this time I am going to try feeding them a mix which I have done before with success. I have also gone the milo/wheat route which I did not do as well with that most folks rave about.
You just got to try different things and find out what works for you.
