Happy birthday Homer and many more. It was a pleasure visiting with you and looking at your breeders and kit birds. Back in the fiftees and sixtees lot of great birds were purchased from Bill Pensom, Roller fanciers from California and the west coast were fortunate to get the cream of the crop. Respectfully, Ray Sanchez

Hey All, The picture above from left to right: Unknown woman (Richard’s wife?), Richard Apadoca, Sam Gutierrez, Sal Estrada, Richard Reyes, Bertha & Homer Corderre, Emma Estrada.
Sal wanted me to provide a little information. He says Homer is healthy and happy, been married to Bertha for 65 years.
Homer is one of the last around today who used to go to roller flys with such legends as Bill Pensom, Bob Evans, Lester Leyhmyer and George Whitney. Homer’s good friend was Stan Plona. Sal says probably 60% of Homers birds were from Stan.
Homer got out of rollers back in 1997 and his eyesight is not doing well now. There are many lofts too numerous to mention that have the Corderre birds in their background and it is a testament to a very fine roller man and his commitment to the Birmingham Roller to see the impact his efforts on so many of the countless friends he has made over the years.
Homer is truly a great roller man and it is awesome to see so many roller fanciers appreciate his contribution! Happy Birthday Homer!! ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria
