Last year i had a dun check cock tight 40 foot mated to a black grizzle hen does tight 10 footer. raised three rounds of them, and none of the young have started to spin yet. Must come in late,so i am going to put the father back on the daughter this year. What is your take on this yes or no.

How old are the birds? The should come into some little rolls already if they are flying now. Some takes longer though? Don't worry, the rolls should come really soon now.

I will not even try on breeding the daughter back to the father because you will produce the same thing again, late developers. You need to break the original pair and breed them different to others that came in to the roll earlier. This will make the offspring come in to the roll not too late.
Try to pick you stock birds after you have seen them in the air perform. Take notes as how long it took them to come in to the roll hard. Then you can decided on how to breed them to have control as when they will roll.

I would keep flying the young as long as time and space allows. I would then put the cock and hen on different mates to try and locate the one with the strongest production gene. Remember, the best performers are not always the best producers, so make them prove their worth in the stock loft.
