Hey I have one bird that sitting all fluffed up. He can not coo unfortunately and I can hear him breathe throughout the loft. He is sneezing and coughing away constantly. This has been going on for about 3 to 5 days now. Any advice?

Thanks,
Andrew

I FIGURED THAT IT WAS JUST A COLD. THE TEMPERATURE THAT DAY WAS ABOUT -50 F.. :) I WAY OVER REACTED.

I recomend you to put some oganic apple cider vinegar in with the water at two table spoons per gallon of water. Keep this in for a few weeks or a few months. They won't like it at first but when they get thirsty engouh they will drink it. It won't hurt them at all. This will keep it acidic and that will help with some diseases. Use it for your flock and the bird you have seperated.
You had posted earlier that you were not flying becuse of BOP and you had some mid 07 birds breeding. Then you also said you needed help because you wanted to fly. To fly, That is good.
So I suspect ( could be wrong ) that you might be over crowding your lofts. If you have too many birds in cramped cages you will have birds die from here on out and medication won't help much. Nature has a way of culling aminals when they over populate.
This is just one more reason to fly out your squeakers, or you may lose your best breeding pairs. Do you have some kit boxes? You should have at least three kit boxes for your young birds to train in for different ages.
Good luck to you. BIll C

Yea respatory! the antiboitics suggested work well, you can get this from any good feed store. what i have done is perchesed some injectabale antiboitcs, i have found that this works really well for individual birds, without having to treat the whole loft. i really like the injectable as you see quick results and less of a chance of you flock building a ammunity to the meds. also rember the injectable needs to be shot into the musscle, its not a vaceen. for me i go right into the brest after blowing the chest feathers apart to expose the keel bone, then i pick a side and shoot not too deep. hope this helps...
