I'm pretty sure that these both are going to be solid red and solid faded yellow! Both of their parents are completely solid red and yellow!

Nice 08 birds. I have a few 08 birds that should be out of the nest in 2 weeks. Is the last baby a lavender?

Yup the last bird is lavender which is weird because his/her parents are red and white (both of them): Papa:
Mama:
Is this common?

Lavender is Spread AshRed (genetic term). At least one bird (hen?) in the picture looks to be carrying ashred. It would take the spread factor to make that "lavender". Spread over a blue series bird would make it appear black. Do you know if the birds are carrying that factor? Do you breed open loft? If so, the hen may have been "topped" by a cock who carries the spread gene.

Good luck with them. Looks like your getting a few now. Maybe you should try your luck with them an start flying them?
Who knows, maybe they'll leave you alone for a few months. ---------- Efren Lopez SGVS
