Hey! In your opinion what is this, a show roller or a Birmingham roller?
Thanks,
Andrew

some BH rollers are large. I would fly it and see. I would not buy any birds unless I bought them from a person that breeds Bh rollers. Just my thought

Maybe you should ask the breeder or the person whom you bought this bird from that question... ---------- Fly High and Roll On Paul

K,
You shouldn't worry too much about the name. It is what the bird can do that should matter to you the most. What is in a name any ways? Roller in name means nothing in my books. I hear people calling their birds Birmingham Rollers all the time yet their birds never left the confines of the owners loft. I have also seen some color birds that can roll just as well as any Pure bred Birmingham Roller. Yet the owner still just consider them only Rollers and not Birmingham Rollers.
On your question, if I had to say just from the photos, that would be as close to any Show breed I have seen. That is just my opinion from the photo. I could be wrong and it could be a Champion performer. A note tho, large size birds can roll just as well as any tiny one.
Just some thing to think about, Thor
P.S. In a pigeon phase at one time (teenager), I had some Show Rollers that could roll with some degree of appreciation. They either roll down, flip/tumble or doing 10-15 footers (rare). I hear it all the time that some Top Show guys are still flying some of their birds. every now and then.. stating that their birds would still roll with out standing speed but the catch was, they would all roll down. I recall some one mentioning that it had to do with the size or extra weight that caused this. Makes sense to me.
