Chai,Yeah, they probably would like to eat baby pigeons but our lofts should be secure against them I would hope.I've seen 3 or 4 of them chasing a Coopers Hawk before. Hey there Werstler!!Welcome to a fine website, and where do you hail from my freind?---------- Kel. Rum-30 Lofts

Black birds, mocking birds, and humming birds also chase away hawks...It's always good to have them hanging around...Maybe I need to put a wild bird feeder in my backyard so i could get some visiters to keep the Hawks out...LOL...One more thing...Out in the wild dont you guys see the commies hanging around with black birds??? I think that's what keep the hawks away from them...But the weird thing is that i also see redtail hawks sometime sitting on electric poles with commies...That's one thing I dont understand...Why dont the redtail hawk attack the commies...

It's about time for the Purple Martins to be migrating back. They usually start showing up around the end of February or March. I like having them around because they reak havoc on the bops. The martins will drive a bop all the way out of site dive bombing him all the way, there may be a half a dozen after him all at the same time.

Robby,Yeah,I'm waiting for the red-winged blackbirds to show they're an indicator it's time to get serious flying rollers again. Chai, My wildbird feeder helps to show if there is a coopers around. If there is you won't see any songbirds at the feeder. ---------- Kel. Rum-30 Lofts

Kelly, I have plenty of Stellars Jays. They do not migrate that I know of. They work fine for sounding the alert against Coopers. I have found no help against the Peregrines
