hey was the bird a wcs because me and my friend went to boones a while ago and seen a bird i think it was a black little grizzle i just remeber the band saying wcs and gardena i dindnt pay attention my friend bought the bird i just went for some bird food oh yeah and he called a number on the band

john, sorry about ur situation,in life as i'm sure you know, there are only a few people we can truely call a friend, i'm 39 yrs old and know tons of people but only about 2 that would be considered a friend(a true friend)! For some strange reason maybe jealously,envy,greed or just human nature, who knows people lack character....JM2CENTS

After hearing the story from John the right thing to do is to ask your friend if he would offer it back to john and he can pay you back what your friend paid for it.
If you have already offered it back and John does not want it dis recard this note.
John like i say: "Their are lots of pigeon men but only afew pigeon gentlemen" I have come accross a lot of guys that offer false friendships only so they can get birds ,once they have milked the situation and you close the door slightly they usually move on to the next "sucker" (in their minds) to take advantage of some one else. Unfortanately those types of individuals exist in all walks of life to bad they are in the pigeon hobby.
They are worse than BOP at least the bop take the bird in front of you and you know what you are dealing with.

while your on the subject I had a friend tell me some years ago that in order for a Club to work dont let MONEY get involved like a Club FUND .
He told me that his Club he was in Got BURNED by the person in charge of the MONEY.
He said the guy just waited until all the original Members left and then he never showed any one the BOOKS.
So a word of caution when Money is involved be very careful because Money will make people do some wierd SHIT.

hey i feel you John,
but you're not alone...Imagine helping out a friend with some very good birds because you want him to have the best like you have....and he promises you that when he's done or if gets rid of them that he will bring them back to give you first choice at them ........then you find out that one of his other buddies has the birds and he bought them so they are now his! Now you can't even get the birds back if you wanted to...... well that's my experience with club buddies!
so i guess at some point we have to deal with certain people the way that best fits their personalities.....and choose carefully who you trust with birds you value......

I have only been in three clubs NBRC,SGVS,LVRC, and I have not had any problems with anybody.
Maybe im just lucky or nobody wants my Birds

Could this be the reason of thier being so many back yarders ? life is to short to put up with other peopels B.S. I like what some one mentioned earlier add the word "comp" to it and its another world!

Thats a great "point good time rolls" I think you are right on I think alot of people stay as back yarders to get away from some of the crap .....but they miss out on the comp and meeting all the good people involved in the hobby.
I joined the Toronto Flying Rollers Club after not being able to get any birds ,no one had any to sell(didnt want to mgive me their good birds but also didnt want to stick it to me by selling me their culls.
Benifit of the club the good far outway the disppointments to start with our president John Lucarelli gave me and my son 5 pairs of rollers .When I reached for my wallet and asked what he wanted for the birds he said No Money just join our club I insisted on paying and he refused to accept any cash Thats how our freindship began he is our mentor and the birds excellent are off BOB BROWN imports.
I have had pigeons for over 45 years and I have met hundreds of pigeon people I have to say there were under a dozen individuals during those years which i would not have as friends

Whats up from what john lucarelli tells me Bob Brown used to win most of the flys in england with his birds I believe in the 60s. I have a pic of him Hard copy with all his trophys a room full of them.
Including the 1979 trophy for champion single bird fly Rolled 25 rolls in 20 Min.
John Lucarelli tells me he went to england three times and stayed with bob brown.
John L is in his 70s but what really freaked me out was when he showed me a picture he had taken at while visiting Bill Pensom . I have tried to find out more information on bob brown through this site and it is limited .Wayne from UK on the site told me their is a guy in Ireland that has BOB Brown imports same as John L Some Of the pedigrees have birds sme names mentioned on the odd bird are OD harris 1972 , Bill Barret1972 ,Terry killick,barry shakleton 1973,RON ADAMS 1972,,Fred Sevins 1971 of nottingham those names only make up about only 10% of the birds listed on the pedigree the rest are all bob brown going back to 1965 He had all His birds stolen in 1965 and could not go back any further with his current birds pedigrees I also have a record sheet "The Ernie Stratford champion roller trophy competition" BOB Brown won the single bird fly in 1972 his bird was the "All England Championship" the bird scored 156 points

Thanks Canspinners. Just been threw a lot . But never turned me sour but inspirated me to become the best that i can be and to help and encourage others on the same road. ..Everyone makes mistakes. The feeling is Great when one humbles himself and sees his or her errors ..fixes it and moves forward and could the next guy . ..sidLOVe*

have seen a eddie verdugo bird at the hemet feed store long time ago and I gave him a call... I gave him the wrong band number... so he told me to call and visit him in 2 month but I flew the bird any way(so stupid) I made a mistake and it flew away... Gave him a call thanks to someone in this site who knew him and have his birds. Told him it was gone and I apologie but he still invited me in but I have not been to his house yet. dont know why, maybe I'm shy... But at least he knows what happens... should aways let someone knows...
