Guess it all depends on haow many birds you have and the extent you are willing to go withum. i have been able to do it relitively cheep vaccanition once a year and vitamins/electrolites on the regular. I keept my pigeons healthy for years on just a tablespoon of bleech in a gallon of water. You can keep your birds free from bacteria pretti cheep. garlic cloves in the water works well, however it needs to be fresh each day. Then you add the price of bands, membership and all the extras i can say a kit bird on the wing "kitting" is about $100 invested, this is just my opion for the time and effort spent on my rollers. this includes but is not limmeted to the cost for water, electric, price of gas and all above mentioned. this can be a inexpensive hobbie it just all depends on the level you are rasing rollers and the purpose. i would love it when i could take a couple of birds to the feed store to fit my feed bill. those days are over for me as i live in a remote location and i dont give away culls or sell them. The only acception is for folks that raise bird dogs, they need them for a reason other than enjoyment of performance. Hope this helps, and the awnser to your question is alot. Ask yourself this 'What is the price for living the dream?" Priceless!!!LOL have a good one wattsup
