Max,
Why is it that your winning kit birds don't look like them funny factor and patterned birds you posted. Your comp kit doesn't look like the breeders you posted. Am I the only one that noticed that? Funny, the normal colored birds that come off the rare colors are the ones that make the A team 95% of the time. Don't you wonder why that is Max? We both know the answer! LOL The further away from them mongrel cross bred color factors and patterns, the better the birds! Even in the rare colored lofts Max. Those normal colored rollers can stand on their own without them rare factors but them rare factors cannot.. Enough to make one wonder isn't it? LOL Just thought I would keep you focused Max!! LOL KGB

Geesh, here we go again with more of this crap, Billings! Why do you insist on trying to brainwash these guys with this utter nonsense?! My old bird competition team is made up, entirely, of Andalusians, Indigo, or reduced birds, or standard color birds bred off of Andalusian, Inidgo, or reduced birds. They were good enough for 14th place in the 2007 World Cup and third place in the 2007 Fall Fly National Championship. Same with the '07 team....I'm not braggin', here, just layin' your agenda that "color factors can't roll" to rest before it gets outta hand, again. I have never bred anything back into this family of birds (South Carolina/Turner)......haven't seen anything any better, on the whole, as far as speed, quality, depth and frequency (seen some as good as.....), so why bother?
Cliff

PS That IS a nice looking team, rollerman. Funny how some guys only see the color, eh? LOL!

Cliff,

KGB gives good advise if you pay attention to what he is saying.
FOLLOW THE A-TEAM ROLLERS.
For most of us kit box space and flying time is limited. STAY FOCUSED.

Color "experiments" will only take up valuable breeding space and kit box space better used to duplicate the birds that are in you’re A-Team.

Not everyone has the time or space to fly the number of kits that you do. LOL.

Cliff,
BOOOOO!!!! LOL If you would have read the thread, I was tongue in cheek talking with Max. Did you see the, I just wanted to help keep him focussed part. You know Cliff you need a nick name. Something like Captian Mutt man! defender of the mongrelizing society,! I will have to think on it a bit, See what kind of handle I can come up with for the jolly giant Mongrel colored roller man! So who pissed in your cherrio's this morning Cliff? KGB

PS. and that's my point!! {or standard color birds bred off of Andalusian, Inidgo, or reduced birds. Cliff} Cliff, I really don't care, I just love to hear you snivel!

Oh, Bullhockey, Kenny! You were serious as a heart attack with that nonsense in your post to Max. Anyone who reads it can clearly see your intention to forward your bull%#*t agenda....Hehehehehe....you ought to know by now....you rattle this chain and you're gonna get a response. I know it gripes the hell outta you that you can't slide that crap into a thread without someobody setting the record straight! LOL!

Sorry, Keith...I gotta disagree. When somebody says,

"Don't you wonder why that is Max? We both know the answer! LOL The further away from them mongrel cross bred color factors and patterns, the better the birds! Even in the rare colored lofts Max. Those normal colored rollers can stand on their own without them rare factors but them rare factors cannot.. Enough to make one wonder isn't it?... LOL KGB"

....he has gone way past "good advice" as you call it. But I do agree with the point that I think you are trying to make...stay focused on performance. In my loft, I do just that; and the Indigo and Andalusians just keep rising to the top. I don't have to focus on breeding for them....it's just in the blood line...I'm sure you understand that....and if Max is breeding for colors only...he's making a mistake....

Cliff,
TRUTH? As learned on Slobberknocers!! LMAO Wouldn't be a birmingham roller left on the planet without a little oriental frill or swallow in it, if the TRUTH as told by Cliff was beilieved. Now that there is the TRUTH!
Hey, we have guys from England all on this list. You guys ever seen Birmingham rollers over there like the ones posted by these rare color breeders? Surely they are popping up all over England? That is where the breed started and was founded! Wayne, you or the guys flying over there breeding pink laces out of them birds over there? LOL KGB

Man, everybody get their boots...we are getting knee deep in this Billings crap! LOL! I parted ways with Slobberknocker a year ago....for good...You'd better get up to speed before you start making accusations and associations, my friend! But then truth never did matter to you did it?

If a guy can breed pink lace birds that perform to standards.....well, more power to him. He's got that right. I don't pay much attention to color the way you do....still stuck in your delusion that only red and blue checkers can perform! Hehehehehe. You're a funny man, Kenny. Why don't you give it up? LMAO!

One thing that I keep noticing is that the station, type and expression is way off base on the color birds that show it, saw it in the Carolinas and I see it with Mad Maxes "projects" , they don't look like any one breed, like the mutt actually follows the color.
And yet in the same lofts there are birds that you know carry it but don't show it where all looks right with them and they actualy look like Birmingham Rollers as far as station, type, expression, saw the same at your loft Cliff.
I found it interesting.

Rollerman...

I feel like a color breeder after looking at your team. Since it was too dam cold to take photos, I clipped it. These are all '06 or older birds. I will see how they do for me this year in the 7 flies we hold here.

Thor

P.S. Nice birds :) Mine looks like they are freezing their butts off in that 20 F temp.

Same for you... the only selves in there are of the Ouellette side (except one). My stuff are all ways filled with badges, balds, or grizzles. That is more than enough colors for me to deal with.

Good luck in the '08 flying season...

Thor

The saddle in that lot is a '04 bred. Man, he sure is white compared to yours...
