Hey Whatsup, I just built me this cool photo studio complete with light and colorful backgrounds as suggested by Richard Reyes who has posted some cool pictures of his birds.

I have about a dozen birds to post but some are going through a slight molt so look a little ratty, the others will be up hopefully tomorrow.

Here is my portable pigeon picture studio and what the pictures of pigeons look like:

This is just one of those ideas that just absolutely work! Be careful of heat buildup in the box if you should leave the light on and walk away!

The box cost $2.99 and the light was only $6.97. TOTAL: 9.96 plus tax. It took me about 20 minutes to figure out how to best position the light and cut and tape up the box. Fast and fun project for the DIY in you!

Hey Thanks Luis! I am looking forward to using it allot more in the future to post pictures of my young birds for sale.

903 is firing blanks, however, I do have him on a young hen and keep trying to get another one or two if I can.

Basically, 903 is living a life of ease and enjoying the nesting with a young hen...hehehe...every once in a while, I let him and his mate foster a set of eggs.

I will be putting him on egg fertility tablets to see if this doesn't help him some. I've had suggestions of some pig fertility stuff, but it is expensive from what I remember.

Hey Bill, yeah, I was messing with the camera settings trying to find the best setting. I have some more pics where you can actually see the lavendar color. I'll post later.

I will try and give you a call regarding the pig fertility stuff and see what else I need to know. Thanks!

I love the idea, but I'm wondering about a screw-in type flourescents! I'm thinkin it might produce more of a natural light, and also produce less heat! I'm curious to see other backgrounds with that incandescent bulb! Just thinkin out loud! Got the little mouse running on the wheel! LOL

Hey Val, the yellow is just the camera settings. I am still experimenting with them. As for heat, a lower wattage bulb or cutting some holes near the top to let heat escape...

A fluorescent bulb might certainly help though. I will look into it, hopefully it doesn't mess up pictures because this kind of lighting is very harsh.

Thanks for suggestion! BTW, got your email and will take care of that concern as well.
