I should clarify what I meant when I said 9A is in a tough neighborhood. There are a lot of truly top notch breeders and fliers there. The RD has to be ready to work because what comes along with so many really good roller people is some strong personalities and egos. Much of it is justified and much of it ain't.
It will take someone with knowledge who posseses the same strong personality and ego.
Did I explain it alright?
It is just my opinion anyway.

Im not sure where this info came from , but as long as I been helping out the World Cup and Fall Fly when I lived in El Monte I NEVER heard of anybody RIPPING of the World Cup or NBRC Fall Fly.
The men that VOLUNTEER thier TIME to make the FLYS happen always wind up spending Money out of there own POCKET.
But like always not that many people appreciate that they VOLUNTEER thier Time and MONEY.
And you also have to hear GROWN men whine about why they have to FLY at this TIME and this Day.
A regional Director will never be able to make everyone HAPPY and that is why no one wants to VOLUNTEER thier TIME and MONEY as a regional Director.

You still have to feed the judge and when the finals rolls around the Director has to pick him up at the airport if he flys in and if its on a work day you have to take it OFF. and the Director has to put the judge up for the evening (Motel ) and yes the GAS gets a little high too the director has to Collect the Money by a certain Day and also I cant recall how many guys say Put the Money up for me and then when you do, you cant find them with a search warrant LOL

Hey thanks guys! Here is what I have.....
The entry fee is going to be $30 for 1 kit entered or $50 for 2 kits entered.
All entry fees must be in on or before Sun. March 23rd.
Our region covers Orange County, everybody residing west of the 57fwy, to Pasadena, down along the 10fwy to the 405fwy(Santa Monica). Back down the 405 fwy to Long Beach. And yes everybody in between! Anyone within this region who has a kit of rollers consisting of 15-20 birds are eligible to fly!!!!!
A final fly list will be constructed after the entry fee deadline date(3/23/08)
I will start accepting entry fees tomorrow. I will also be accepting entry fees both at the So. Cal Benefit Show on March 2nd. (Ontario, CA) and at the C.B.R.C Show on March 29th. (Los Angeles, CA)
I have 3 weekends scheduled for the preliminary flys starting on Sat. April 19th and ending on Sun. May 4th.
The finals are set to be judged Sat. April 17th or Sun. the 18th by "Hall of Famer" ELDON CHENEY.
Our preliminary judge is going to be KEITH LONDON.
I have fliers made up and will have them distributed to the all local feed stores by this weekend. More info are on them.
Start spreading the word! We need as many people as possible to participate. The more people we get to fly the more quilifiers we will have! 1 for every 15 paid entries.
Thanks, Flipmode (310) 447-5055 for more info. and to enter.

No the N.B.R.C or World Cup does not pay for any expences the director has .
It's just part of Volunteering and a way of Doing something for the Club and Hobby.
Efren there is No regional Director for the N.B.R.C. in Region 9A would you like to Do the JOB.
Mike walton is the Director for the World Cup . The World Cup and N.B.R.C. are two different entity's.
If you want to be considered for the Reginal Director you would need to contact Jay Yandle the N.B.R.C. Prez.
I think you would do a great Job and it would be a great service to all your Fellow roller men in L.A.
