It's not time yet guys!In some areas you just have to wait for the right time to fly.

Some words of ADVISE.. Since we all live in different parts of the country. Like Louis said "Its not the right time". It might be a wise idea to find out when it is the MIRGATION time for the BOP. I think once we understand when this takes place and how long it last where you live,we can better adjust your flying schedule. If we get HIT outside of the MIGRATION time,we need to re-think our flying time here too. Its just a thought that I started to apply. Personnally, this method has worked out for me. Hope this might HELP out where you live.

It's hard when the BOP never leaves when the season was for them to migrate. At my place, Red Tail never leaves. It's true, "It's not the time to fly yet at my place" I need to wait until the late March to fly mine. I don't want any of my birds DIE.

Seems there is always a peri or two around here too. There ARE times when they seem otherwise occupied tho'(not chasing pigeons)like when they are mating in April,May,till they hatch out there young then they return with a vengeance mid June till end July then are gone again Aug-Sept.

Get your State fish and Game involved. Maybe contact your Deptarment of Agriculture. You are going to have wotk with these guys, but at least make friends with them they may help you with non-migrating BOP. You will probally have to lock down during the migation still. Show them how cool it is to watch your rollers. Tell some BOP stories and get your wife and kids to cry, hell shed a tear to if you can. Be polite and simply ask if thier is any way they can help you protect, and enjoy your rollers.
Start with your local fish and game officers, talk to him and ask who the biologist is the covers BOP's. Then contact the biologist. Hopefully they will help you out. If not all you will have done is made new friends.
Good luck
