Same here guys.It sucks big time.Got 2 kits of last years birds mostly and been flying one kit a week to test the skies.Everytime they get hit and been losing one or 2 each time.Flying the homers and doneks everyday since early Jan., and only lost one homer last week to the first coopers I've seen since last fall. It's a bummer for the ol' BRs allright.----------

You got 4 breeding pairs up there. Man i feel for you guys no wonder John was on about jacking in with the birds. They must be a lot of people suffering through these preds up your way my heart goes out to your guys. Its not as though you guys can lock down because you all have youngsters that need flying hard at this time of the year.

Whats Up, I wouldn't fly for 3 or 4 days! Don't want that BOP to start thinking there is a food source at your place! hopefully he will move on!

I put my holdover kit out for the first time in 2 months yesterday.
It was like I never stopped flying. 5 minutes in there was the peregrine
Sure did put a damper on the spring fever. Now I am just depressed.
There is just no fun flying in these conditions.

I feel you Keith. The reality of the situation is really sinking in right about now!Trying to train for comp is going to be nearly impossible for me.This particular peregrine has been around for a long time w/it's mate.It is more than likely he hits many in my area and knows where to make his rounds.Even if they move on along w/the Coopers i still have the Red Tails to deal with!I'm getting really tired of the whole thing and i'm seriously considering just keeping the birds for fun instead of for comp. The stress of trying to get the birds going is bugging me out BIG TIME.Ultimately if i suffer the same losses i did last year(100 plus birds)i'm getting out of rollers for good.I'm not interested in running a feeding station for the BOPs.I'll stick to my Sporting Pouters, they're more opt for survival!!

I dont know what to say to you mate if there is 4 pairs of resident peregrines based around Middlesbrough the future really looks gloomy for you guys up there it really does.
Are you guys getting hit at all different times of the day up there?
Once the b-st-rd Peregrines are down feeding young it really is going to get worse not better up there.
It doesnt help with all the dogooders putting nesting boxes around our local cities it makes matters 10 times worse.

silent 323,there is no way to roll when you talk like that on here on Tony's site but one way and that is down roll. is not allowed and you just gave yourself up they are here and everywhere listening ,I don't know if you heard of people getting arrested for the same thing you just talk about.you can bet they are checking you out right now.not a smart thing to say..you don't want to be in those shoes when you get caught....

Silent323...you aught to rethink your online name. You're really not that silent..LOL!!The 1 that's gonna get shot down is you, with an arrest and some huge fines from fish & wildlife agents. Then Federal charges could follow!Leave the BOPs alone man....It's the law!!
