My helper and I built this box over the weekend. I still have to shoot a couple of coats of poly on the top and mount the hardware.

Nice looking crate. Man, that looks like some great weather there too. I still have to wear the old coveralls to cut wood this weekend. ---------- Butch @ Sundance Roller Lofts

Kel I am coming down with spring fever I guess. It started about two weeks ago when the garage door developed a hiccup and wouldn`t open. I have been pretty busy and finally got around to getting it repaired. While I was doing this repair my woodworking tools were calling me. So one thing led to another and after a discussion in the chatroom the other day bada-bing,the IDEA popped into my head and voila` a crate was born. Sorry, I didn`t document with a lot of pix. This one and another of the finished product is all I have. It will probably go into an auction or something along those lines. Thanks for your all of your kind comments.

OK Here is the finished product. My other helper was not available to be photographed earlier.
I put nice brass hardware on it. I really don`t like the handles and will look for something a little more to my liking. It`s built of solid wood, has three coats of min wax poly and is stained red oak. I used staples and glue so it shouldn`t ever come apart. It`s 10x10x32. Probably hold 15 birds or so.
