This question is not directed to any pacific area it is more directed world wide. I would like to here from our many fellow members on this site because the caliber of experience and knowledge here covers a wide raange.
We do have many kit competition type flies should we have more of these flies? Or should we start increasing the individual type flies that seems to be few and far between?
The lawn shows are plentifull its seems. We are not lacking in this department at all or would many of you like to have more lawn shows for the if nothing else the fellowship?
Me personally enjoy kit competition with a strong influence on quality and velocity. I also compete in individual flies and have been wondering if the individual flies will start to increase because of the Bop situation? I would think that one would loose less birds to the Bop training for an individual type fly because you would be flying fewer birds at a one time, which would be less of a distraction to the Bop's I would think anyway.
Just my two cents how do the rest of you guy's feel on this subject.

I think the growth of this sport/,flys are in great danger of regressing directly due to the problem of overpopulation of B.O.P.,what can be more heartbreaking to a genuine roller man,as to watching these sky pirates decimate a kit,or dictate the very basic, flying times, within another 10 years of uncontrolled breeding,it will be almost impossible to get a fly at any time, and for those who dont have this problem now, give it time, you will, its not the B.O.P.all species have their place in the grand scheme of things, its the human input of protection and breeding programes, thats conductive to the overpopulation of same, thats the real problem.

I have yet to compete but will be gunning in 2009. I am going to compete in one loft flies this year. I prefer deeper birds and think kit comp is going to the short frequent bird. I guess I will know in 09 because mine wont be short spinners. They will be as deep as I can raise. Fortunately BOP dont rule my world, yet. They are becoming more plentiful though. My worst fear is the increase of the Perigrines. They could be trouble. I have only put my Orietals out once against one and the jury is out on whether they can sustain continued attacks by falcon. I am also going to compete with my Orientals this year hopefully if we can get it organized if not at least by next year for sure. Young people are the key to getting the sport growing. Unfortunately it is hard to compete against gameboy.

Show birds and their breeders will increase tremendously within a couple of years.Flying and performing breeds and those who raise them will continue to decline and that's a fact of life!
