My thought is that this is not enough space per pair. I think you would be better making each breeder box 2x as tall and having 4 boxes in this space.
If the sapce is too small, the birds will retain their feces and bring fertilization down. Also, keeping birds in a small space will take years off the birds life.

Ken

I think you should think about making you breeding cages for three pairs insted of six give them more room to move less stress for your birds. edgar.

That is a good start. It probably looks similar to what many of us started with. Little by little it grows, expands and turns into more than you planned to begin with. If possible, give the pairs more room. They will be happier, and you will be happier with their results and their health. ---------- Butch @ Sundance Roller Lofts

Nicely put, Butch! Shows your character!
Comparible to my first breeder cage as a youngster! My boxes were larger though! You might consider turning the three compartments on each row into two and then bring the fronts forward some. Looks like you could move them forward almost a foot and still have room for your waterers and feeders! Just some ideas!

John...........nice job for a first time builder.....One suggestion, I would make them alittle bit deeper. Looks like you have the room. Keep in mind that the NEXT will get better and better and so on. Keep up the good work.

John....I would leave the 9 boxes, just extend them out (deeper)about 6" or more if you have the roon to expand that much. ---------- Fly High and Roll On Paul

Nice but not bad for a first job.I think it is too small should be 4feet x4feet x2feet high, for 1 pair.

Good start.however, you want to make it easy to clean.it appears that you will lose alot of food .causing you a rat/mice problem.water spillage will make your birds sick, you have to many birds in that tight space. slant your roof for water drainage.and paint. That type of wood if not painted will swell and rot.and thanks for asking for help we all had to start somewhere. JT SMASH
