PRC-56-145 blue check cock self and APC-55L-4220 blue check self hen were three generations behind the cock I bred and flew in California. PRC-52-4101 cock and PRC-53-514 hen were four generations behind him also. The NBRC-88P-728 cock was spinning 10 feet at 8-9 months with average style and velosity. Then at ten months he became a champion overnight at a California Birmingham Roller Club fly. The first ten minutes of the fly he turned it on and super hi- velosity spins of over thirty feet were witnessed with no wings showing whatsoever. Then the next ten minutes or until twenty minutes expired his spins were hi-velosity with wings showing slightly along with less depth. All spins were straight as an arrow and breaking clean back to the kit. #NBRC-88P-728 blue check cock was a super star and made his ancestors prowd that he carried on the gene pool. His sire #CBRC-84-7 blue check cock and dam #NPA 78RZ-480 blue check were very good performers too. This cock bird performed in over twenty turns with the kit and was still performing when the kit wasnt making turns. Then the rest of the fly season he would generly break with the rest of the kit. Rollers of this nature are far and between but I have been lucky to breed a few in my sixty-five years breeding and flying the competition roller. Keep supporting the competition Birmingham Roller, Ray Sanchez.

I was glad to hear you guys injoyed reading and hearing about the super star roller cock, It was a day that Ill never forget and if you guys would have been present it would have been greater. I can still see that cock bird perform in my eyes and mind to this day. The next report will be about the first super star I bred in the early nineteen seventees. It was a first generation mealy bar hen bred out of William Bill Pensoms breeding stock. I will look for her pedigree and band number in my pedigree box. This hen was deeper than her full sister but the same in all facets regarding a champion competition roller, Ken Billings was a teenager when he saw my mealy bar family perform. He flew one mealy bar hen from my breeders one year and she was outstanding too. Ken still enjoys talking about that hen to this day. This was another mealy bar hen we think about when we talk about California Competition Roller Club FLYS. Keep em flying, Ray Sanchez.
