I went outside just a few minutes ago and I peeked into my kit boxes and my Hen kit all the Birds were off the perch and HUDDLED like a football team when they are calling a play.

I have never seen nothing like that all the other kits are on the perches.

it was a little cold last night could it be they need a little more Feed to keep them Warm ???

G,

My hens eat more feed than the cocks during these colder months. They must burn more engery to keep warm during the colder months. During feeding time, all the hens will fight for every single dropped grain

I noticed that the Hens will clean out their feeder while the Cocks will have a ton left over. I keep them in seperate lofts during the off season. I also noticed that some times some of my Cock birds won't even come down during feeding time.

Feed given once daily.

Thor
