I was recently informed by a friend that someone started a RUMER that when I left Southern California and resigned as the Region 9a Director that I stole the N.B.R.C. 's Money that I collected for the Fall Fly prelims.
Although my location and phone numbers are always available these Person(s) never contacted me to get the TRUTH about the matter before attempting to run my name through the MUD.
I just wanted to ask you if in fact I did steal any Money
could you please let everyone know.
Cliff in no way am I saying you are one of the Person(s) that started this RUMER but since you as the Fall Fly cordinater collected the Money I just thought if any one knew if I stole any money you would know .
Also what little bit of extra Money that was collected for Gas and traveling expences , I gave to Eddie Avila as he was acting as my Local Area director and I felt he would be the logical choice to succeed me

George,
I can certainly vouch for the fact that you turned in the proper amount of money for the entry fees for the number of flyers from your region. These kind of bullshit rumors are unfortunate, and do not motivate guys like you to continue to step up and make a contribution. As I have said before, George, who you are on the planet is determined by you alone, and not the things that others might say about you. Those who know you well will not be affected by negativity, and those that pay them heed are not your friends anyway. This sort of ugliness has reared its head in the sport before, in the past, and has cost us good men.
