Greetings Dexter....
Those are some exceptionally nice looking breeding pens for pigeons. They look well designed, well engineered and well structured.
I hope over time it turns out to be worth the $$$$$ and effort you put into constructing those breeding pens because they look incredibly awesome.
Let me conclude by saying good luck and keep'em flying!

Aloha Marcus,
Thanks for your comments. Being new to this hobby I wanted to build something that hopefully will last for a while and I wouldn't have to rebuild. As for it being worthwhile, just seeing how the breeders like the new space compared to the smaller individual pens I had them in makes it all worthwhile.
Now if only they will breed some decent spinners.

Good morning Dexter....
After looking at your slide show, it has became quite evident to me that you are very passionate about your rolling pigeons and love the heck out of your birds.
Hmmm....
Dexter, I have several questions for you regarding those magnificently marvelous looking pens.
1) How many breeding pens (seperate units) are there?
2) How many pairs of breeders can each seperate breeding pen (house comfortably) hold?
3) How long did it take for you to build those beautifully gorgeous pigeon lofts?
4) Did you go to Home Depot or Lowes for the majority of your construction supplies and tools?
MEMO: Passions are the winds which fill the sails of vessels along our travels in life; sometimes they sink it, but without them it would be impossible at times to make way to our destinations.
Enjoy your day...

Thanks for all the great comments.
Additional info:
There are 8 individual compartments, each 3'x 3'x 4 1/2'.
Marcus, only one pair in each compartment. Like I said earlier, I'm new to the hobby. I'm still trying to find out who my "breeders" are. What I have now are birds that I'm breeding from. After I can truly evaluate their young then some might make the "breeder" catagory. The rest will probably go into the foster loft.
It took about a week of beautiful, hot, sunny weather to build. :-)
Supplies were purchased at Home Depot and a local outlet called Hawaii Planning Mill.
Now if only the quality of my birds would step up to the quality of the pens, then I would be in heaven.

Oh, I forgot one more very important point. The wife even likes these pens better than the old ones, and you know you gotta keep the "boss" happy.

Aloha Clayton,
You're welcome to stop by anytime. I even made it easy to move with removable legs and by removing 8 screws it can be split into two 12' sections. :)
When are you guys scheduled to fly the regionals. I want to try and get up there to watch some kits fly.
We won't be flying in the WC this year, no sense having the judge fly over here to watch only one kit fly. Even if we're not ready, we will be flying in the fall fly. Hopefully we can get at least 6 flyers going.
Take it easy, bra.
Aloha, Dexter
