wow. u must be tired from being attack from those fools. the last time i saw bop at my place was when there was a total of 7 coopers in the sky waiting upon my birds. for some unknown reason, they seems to flap their wings differently, much slower. I think they might ready for breeding season or something. I want them gone though. lol
It maybe a blessing those birds are terratorial can he teach them to scare off or chase out of the area other bop?

Seeing as these ugly demon birds are privately owned, could the owner be held responsible if they get your birds? ---------- Butch @ Sundance Roller Lofts
Yea that is definitely a hurting pic, those are the one that catches my bird...damn spanky thats bad for you that they so near by..good luck with your birds.. ---------- Ralph....
I betcha they cost more to feed than our pigeons!!Can you imagine how many miles of highway you'd have to cover to find enough roadkill to feed them buggers??You'd have to have a gopher farm going to keep the freezer full. ---------- Kel. Rum-30 Lofts
WELL FELLAS THIS GUY TAKES HIS BOP OUT TO THE HILL'S AND THEY WILL GO TO WORK. CATCH RABITS, SQUIERLS, AND YES HE HAS A BIG FREEZER TO SAVE SOME OF THERE KILL FOR A RAINE DAY. THIS BOP'S DONT MESS WITH MY BIRDS THATS THE GOOD THING.
Marcus, Those look to me like Harris Hawks. The ones with the lighter wing shield that doessn't show the red in the secondaries are yearling adolescnce birds.
maybe he can bring one or two to your house (while your birds are locked up) and see if they can scare away any resident bop's or at least chase them. i don't think migrating coopers are looking to tangle with tag team harris hawks. harris hawks are interesting, the young from the previous year help the parents catch food for the new babies. mostly a reptile/mammal hunter, not too many pigeons in the desert. i lived in tucson a few years ago, and they were quite common sitting on saguaros along hwy 10. ---------- Steve in Blue Point, NY
Dept. of Fish and Game probably paid him a visit because you know they monitor these sites. I think Falconers can only have 6 BOP's maximum and some of those have to be released and permits renewed for new young ones.
Tim... I think a person has to be registered with the Department of Wildlife, Fish and Game if they are hunting with... or breeding Federally protected animals.
I fed them 3 birds today.have you seen the falcon missing feather in the secondairys the red tail is always makes him release the birds and thay come back cut up stijj flying 4 teams talk to you soon!!!
