Hi guys,

I'm starting to design my first mobile loft for non-competitive flying and I was wondering if there any suggestions on what to incoprporate into the design? I would also like to see pictures of other members portable lofts if you have them.

I'm thinking of building mine on one of those inexpensive 4'x 4' or 4'x 8' harbor freight trailers, what do you guys think?

I have two that I use. each has it disadvantages. I like my three by four by six the best because I just step in and can release the birds by hand one at a time. This allows me to handle each bird and adjust the feed as needed. The other is a twelve kit box and are three by to by four. They hold sixteen birds each. I can stand on the ground and reach in and release my birds. Or I can open the trap an let them come out. The two kit box holds twenty five in each side.

Hey Kel they ARE in the swamp. Actually they are off my front porch of thirty years I just replaced but still in the swamp. Elevation 30' is a mountain around here. I am only eleven miles from the coast. Elevation 21' above sea level. Storm of the Century storm surge came within three miles of my house. Or that is where the seaweed stopped I was in S.C. freezing my ass off.

Sippi,

Do you pull the smaller one around to different sites with a car or truck or do you just move it around your property? Does the height pose any tip over problems when moving it?

Good to see you're recycling that wood.
