put a cage on top of that box and when you want them in call whistle, what ever way you do it,open a wire cage and feed them inside open big door what ever.but never leave unattended.keep and eye on them at all time. they should come in at your command not when they want to .feed is the only control you got ,learn to us it. feed them what they need not what they want..remember that.become the kit master..my birds fly the 20 or 30 minutes, but when they land its in their nature to trap as soon as they land food or no food .its taught to them at a very young age.. good luck,,

I wait till their about 6 months before I really get tight on their feed! You could start with about a tablespoon a bird. Some say a cup per 10 birds, but my cups = 16 tablespoons so they just get one! Whatever you use, just start checking their fly time, like Ralph said, they should fly about 20-30 min, no more than 45 and they should come down! If their flying longer, cut it a tablespoon a day till you get it, if their not flying long enough, reverse it. keep an eye on them and try to handle them often, if they get light, feed them up a little for a couple days and then go back to the rutine!

Ralph is right, you be the kitmaster! Controling the fly time is how much feed is in the can, controlling the roll is what you put in the feed can! Thats the one I have trouble with! LOL
