I have the same problem with my birds, they won't touch the wheat. I leave it for a few days but then feel sorry for them and give in. Some eat the wheat but leave the corn. I save the left over and take it up to the reservoir and feed the pheasants.

You are probably over feeding them. Unless they have squabs cut them down to a tablespoon apiece and then gradually increase it after they start to eat every thing. All thier peas and carrots. If they have squabs only feed them what they will clean up before next feeding.

That's why I started giving them all they want. They are feeding babies now. I picked one up and his craw felt empty, but the other one was full. Maybe the other one is stronger. Guess I'll just end up with fat squeaks.

Are you feeding grit and oyster shell? They won't starve if there is grain in front of them.Wheat and corn are usually the last to be eaten. If you keep giving in to them they'll take advantage of you, just like kids. ---------- Kel. Rum-30 Lofts

Go buy a couple of bags of just milo for them! Problem solved!... After eating straight milo for a few weeks they might like having wheat and peas again. Bill C

Sorry noon milot's is milo rite....but if u feed them straight that grain....u probably wont get any youngs out of them the whole year.....milos a very weak grain which they cant hardly lived on with just that...they need other high protein grain also...but u can do is starve them and try them with pellets....hope that works...usually for me i just throw birds n a big open loft and let them work their way with the pellets only...i feed all my breeders game pellets...just my opinion...
